SCHEDULED EXECUTION OF INMATE CLARENCE DIXON COMPLETED

PHOENIX- Pursuant to the Arizona Supreme Court’s Warrant of Execution issued on April 5, 2022, the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation, and Reentry carried out the execution of inmate Clarence W. Dixon (ADCRR #38977) on May 11, 2022. Dixon was declared deceased at 10:30 a.m.

The mode and manner of the death was by lethal injection.

Dixon was convicted in 2008 of the 1978 murder of 21-year-old Arizona State University student Deana Bowdoin.
