Inmate Death Notification - Sean Gorham

FLORENCE, AZ – Sean Gorham, 51, (ADCRR #339078) died on December 23, 2023 from an apparent act of self-harm by hanging.

Prison staff discovered Gorham unresponsive in his housing unit and conducted life-saving measures until paramedics arrived onsite. Paramedics continued life-saving measures, then Gorham was pronounced deceased in consultation with medical staff from Mountain Vista Medical Center.

Inmate Gorham was sentenced out of Apache County in 2019 for: Theft of Means of Transportation, and a Drug Paraphernalia Violation.

His assigned housing location was Florence West Correctional and Rehabilitation Facility in Florence, Arizona.

All inmate deaths are investigated in consultation with the county medical examiner’s office.
