Inmate Death Notification – James Hegwood

FLORENCE (February 26, 2025) – Inmate James Hegwood, 69, ADCRR #077290, died on February 26, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Hospital (Tucson).

Inmate Hegwood was admitted to ADCRR custody in 1990 after being sentenced out of Pima County for Armed Robbery, Kidnapping, First and Second-Degree Burglary, Sexual Assault, and Theft.

His assigned housing location was ASPC-Eyman.

All inmate deaths are investigated in consultation with the county medical examiner’s office.
