Inmate Death Notification – Eric Romero

FLORENCE (November 30, 2024) – Inmate Eric Romero, 30, ADCRR #305891, died on November 30, 2024, from an apparent act of self-harm by hanging.

Prison staff discovered Romero unresponsive in his housing unit on November 30, 2024. Responding paramedics, in consultation with medical staff, pronounced Romero deceased.

Inmate Romero was admitted to ADCRR custody in 2023 after being sentenced out of Pima County for Aggravated Assault.

His assigned housing location was ASPC-Eyman.

All inmate deaths are investigated in consultation with the county medical examiner’s office.
