Inmate Death Notification – Correll Jackson

FLORENCE, AZ – Correll Jackson, 26, (ADCRR #313631) died on February 28, 2024 from an apparent act of self-harm by hanging.

Prison staff discovered Jackson unresponsive in his housing unit on February 28, 2024 and conducted life-saving measures until paramedics arrived onsite. Responding paramedics in consultation with medical staff from Banner Desert Medical Center pronounced Jackson deceased.

Inmate Jackson was admitted to ADCRR custody in 2020 after he was sentenced out of Maricopa County for Robbery and Armed Robbery.

His assigned housing location was Arizona State Prison Complex-Eyman.

All inmate deaths are investigated in consultation with the county medical examiner’s office.
