Inmate Death Notification – Carlos Zamalea

PHOENIX (Friday, September 8, 2023) – Inmate Carlos Zamalea, 72, ADCRR #043499, died on September 8, 2023 at ASPC-Phoenix.

Inmate Zamalea was admitted to ADCRR custody in 1981 after he was sentenced out of Maricopa County for Kidnapping and Sexual Assault.

His assigned housing location was ASPC-Phoenix.

All inmate deaths are investigated in consultation with the county medical examiner’s office.
