Inmate Death Notification – Camille Russell

GOODYEAR, AZ – Camille Russell, 37, (ADCRR #316875) died on May 24, 2024 from an apparent act of self-harm by hanging.

Prison staff discovered Russell unresponsive in her housing unit on May 24, 2024 and conducted life-saving measures until paramedics arrived onsite. Responding paramedics in consultation with medical staff pronounced Russell deceased.

Inmate Russell was admitted to ADCRR custody in 2024 after she was sentenced out of Coconino County for Theft of Means of Transportation.

Her assigned housing location was Arizona State Prison Complex-Perryville.

All inmate deaths are investigated in consultation with the county medical examiner’s office.
