Employment, Resource and Housing Fair (10/05/23)

What: More than 40 Valley employers, 27 community-based service providers, and 10 housing resources will gather for an Employment, Resource and Housing Fair.  The event will offer reentry support to individuals who have been released from prison to a term of community supervision. In addition, the fair is open to any other individual under supervision and the general public seeking employment or resources. 

Who: The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry and the Arizona Department of Economic Security.  The two state agencies are working together to help individuals on community supervision find success back in the community, along with important resources and housing opportunities. Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego will also speak at the event at approximately 10:30am.

When: Thursday, October 5 from 10:00 am to 1 pm.

Where: Central United Methodist Church 1875 N. Central Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85004. Designated media parking is available in Parking Lot D located on the north side of the Church.

Additional Information: Vendors such as Televerde, Amazon, and Camelback Moving are among those who are hiring and who will be in attendance. ARIZONA@WORK offers free services designed to help employers recruit, train and retain skilled and qualified workers. It also offers comprehensive workforce readiness services to help job seekers improve their employability and obtain employment.
