Inmate Death Notification

TUCSON (Saturday, February 18, 2023) – Inmate Joe Cornell, 57, ADCRR #083873, died on February 18, 2023, at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Inmate Cornell was admitted to ADCRR custody in 1991 after he was sentenced out of Maricopa County for First-Degree Murder and attempted First-Degree Murder along with aggravated assault, endangerment, and burglary. 

His assigned housing location was ASPC-Tucson.

All inmate deaths are investigated in consultation with the county medical examiner’s office.
