Inmate Death Notification - Joshua Fox

PHOENIX, AZ – Joshua Fox, 23, (ADCRR #365673) died on December 26, 2023 from an apparent act of self-harm by hanging on December 20, 2023.

Prison staff discovered Fox unresponsive in his housing unit on December 20, 2023 and conducted life-saving measures until paramedics arrived onsite. Fox was transported to Valleywise Health Medical Center. Medical staff pronounced him deceased on December 26, 2023.  

Inmate Fox was sentenced to ADCRR custody out of Maricopa County in 2023 for Manslaughter.

His assigned housing location was Arizona State Prison Complex - Phoenix.

All inmate deaths are investigated in consultation with the county medical examiner’s office.
