Programs

Work Crews

Arizona Correctional Industries and Intergovernmental Agreement assignments working within the local and surrounding communities. Also: food service, building maintenance, vehicle maintenance, and general labor crews for the upkeep and maintenance of its institutional grounds. Theses crews solely come out of the Eggers Unit. Mohave and Gila Unit inmates are employed solely within the confines of its perimeter. Eggers unit minimum custody inmates are utilized for the entire off site crews.

Education

Adult Basic Education (ABE) and English as a Second Language (ESL). Many inmates earn their General Equivalency Diploma (DED) while incarcerated. Other programs include Mandated Adult Education and Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE). Work-Based Education (WBE) programs in conjunction with Pima Community College which include: Building Construction Technology, Computer Technology, Automotive Technology, and AC Refrigeration certification, Electronic. Inmates may work towards continued education while utilizing their assigned tablet and in cooperation with Ashland University.

Treatment & Self-Improvement Programs

Narcotics Anonymous (NA), (Available in English and Spanish), Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) (Available in English and Spanish), and Moderate Treatment (Substance Abuse). Encourage to Change, Reentry, and Changing Offender Behavior. Also, Cultural Diversity, Cognitive Restructuring, which prepares inmates for reentry through training in a variety of life skills. Furthermore, Peer to Peer training to include Contemporary Visual Media Arts, DCL perpetration, Recovery Wellness, Spanish, Card and Art Class.
