Visitor Update March 2022
While COVID-19 numbers throughout the state of Arizona are low, out of an abundance of caution, ADCRR is still adhering to CDC guidelines, due to our congregant settings. Therefore, ADCRR will continue to implement activities to minimize the impact of COVID-19 at our facilities. ADCRR will continue to review COVID-19 protocols and modify them as needed.
If the transmission in the facility and/or substantial community transmission is occurring, ADCRR will re-impose visitation restrictions for non-essential vendors, volunteers, and other visitors from entering the facility or sections of the facility to prevent the introduction of the virus into the facility.
Suspending in-person visitation will only be done in the interest of ADCRR staff and inmates’ physical health and the health of our communities. Visitation is important to maintain residents’ mental health. If visitation is suspended, ADCRR has alternative ways for residents to communicate with their families, friends, and other visitors such as through our video visitation process. For more information on our video visitation process, please visit Application To Visit an Inmate.
Currently, visitors must continue to wear appropriate face coverings and be willing to take part in symptoms checks, including temperature checks, upon entry into ADCRR facilities.
Visitors who do not clear the screening process or who decline to screen or are not wearing masks, will not be able to enter ADCRR facilities.
Protective barriers such as sneeze guards in visitation rooms, when possible, are part of layered ADCRR protocols to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Additional protocols include physical distancing in the visitation area, required use of face coverings, hand sanitizer stations, and ongoing visitation room cleaning.
If you are exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms, please postpone your visit. For a list of COVID-19 symptoms, please visit Symptoms of COVID-19 | CDC.
