(PHOENIX)— Arizona’s budget for Fiscal Year 2022 that includes significant investments in public safety has been signed by Governor Doug Ducey.

Nearly 26,000 inmates, or 71.37% of the population, are fully vaccinated.  The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation and Reentry (ADCRR) continues to offer COVID-19 vaccines to inmates at its state as well as private prison facilities. The Department has received 44,880 doses thus far from the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) and has administered a total of 44,452 first and second dose vaccines at our ten state prison complexes to date. The private prisons have administered a total of 10,357 vaccines to date.

In partnership with Centurion, our medical healthcare vendor, we are pleased to announce that more than 25,000 inmates, or 70.4% of the population, are fully vaccinated.

The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation and Reentry (ADCRR) is resuming in-person visitation and launching a phased reopening of inmate work programs.

In-person visitations will resume June 19, 2021. Visits will be limited to two adult visitors and one minor child, or three people. The phased reopening also recommences in-person attorney visits, volunteer service activities and the Department’s Second Chance Centers.
